Christian life is a “dour struggle,” according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church: “…Finding himself in the midst of the battlefield man has to struggle to do what is right…” (CCC #409). Who are we struggling against? What are the frequent tactics of our spiritual enemies? This and more is explored in our new Retreat Guide, The Anatomy of Temptation: A Retreat Guide on David and Goliath.

That ancient story from the Old Testament is amazingly relevant to our lives in the twenty-first century. In this Retreat Guide you will find out why.

As always, this Retreat Guide can be watched, listened to, or read, at your convenience. It will help you start the year off with clarity and determination as it opens your heart to receive new graces from God.

In this Retreat Guide, The Anatomy of Temptation: A Retreat Guide on David and Goliath, we are going to prepare ourselves for this spiritual battle by reflecting deeply on some tactics of our spiritual enemies.

  • In the two meditations, we will expose some of  those tactics and learn how David countered them.
  • In the conference, we will look at something closely related to the anatomy of temptation — the anatomy of sin.

  1. The Retreat information is both practical and lovingly presented. One cannot help but feel the love of God even when we have turned away from him in sin. God always provides a way back to Him. Thank you for offering this retreat on temptation.
