Day 15 – Finding God in Unexpected Places

Discovering the Good:
Do you see the good around you?

Work of Art: Virgil (Albert-Ernest Criier-Belleuse, 1855)

Bad news. Sometimes it seems like it’s everywhere. And it can overwhelm us to the point that we no longer see the good around us.

God did not become man because we are bad. He did not come to reject our fallen human nature. No, he came to absorb and redeem everything that is human.

Am I someone who tends to dwell on what is not going well and overlook noticing all the good around me? How might I acknowledge the good and speak in positive ways to build up those around me?

Today, as we watch our Advent video, let’s open ourselves to enter into the world without fear, appreciating all the good we can find, especially in unexpected places.
