Familiarity can be one of the biggest threats to our faith lives. Just look at the Eucharist. For many of us it can become familiar or routine, and we risk going through the motions during Mass.

But receiving Christ should be anything but routine. Every Mass is a new Bethlehem where Christ comes to be with us again and stays in the tabernacle of our very own bodies so we can encounter him personally.
