Easter Sunday

During the Easter Vigil, the Church sings, “Our birth would have been no gain, had we not been redeemed … O charity beyond all telling, to ransom a slave you gave away your Son!”

Easter is the exultation of the Father’s love for us in giving us his only Son for our redemption. In light of such a gift, what can we fear? Before such love, what possible reaction is there but joyful gratitude?
