Tuesday in Holy Week

“I will make you a light to the nations, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth” (Is 49: 6). St. Augustine tells us that our hearts are restless until they rest in the Lord. Yet the heart of Christ is even more restless until we can find our rest in him. He looks out upon the world in need of salvation and offers his love. Very shortly, he will offer his very life.

What are my own dispositions before a world so in need of Christ?
