Holy Week is Approaching: Weekly Message for 04-09-2019

Dear Digital Pilgrims in Christ,

I want you to know that none of your efforts to know, love, and serve Christ a little bit more during this Lent have been wasted.  This is what our faith tells us. As Pope Francis has explained in Evangelii Gaudium, our faith in God’s power and goodness

“… involves knowing with certitude that all those who entrust themselves to God in love will bear good fruit (cf. Jn 15:5). This fruitfulness is often invisible, elusive and unquantifiable. We can know quite well that our lives will be fruitful, without claiming to know how, or where, or when. We may be sure that none of our acts of love will be lost, nor any of our acts of sincere concern for others. No single act of love for God will be lost, no generous effort is meaningless, no painful endurance is wasted.”  (EG 279)

So, as Holy Week approaches, let’s renew the focus of our hearts.  Let’s recommit ourselves to keeping Christ in the center – of everything.

During the upcoming holy days, I will have the grace of participating in Holy Week missions on the streets of New York, together with dozens of young men and women and families. This New York mission is just one of many such street-evangelizing efforts that our Regnum Christi family will be engaged in throughout the world during this intense liturgical period. If you would like to learn more about these efforts, visit MissionYouth.com.

Please keep us in your prayers, and be assured of our continued prayers for you.  We sincerely hope that our resources have helped you live a grace-filled Lent. And we are looking forward to continuing to journey with you throughout another Holy Week and Easter Season.

God bless you!

Yours sincerely in Christ,

Lucy Honner, CRC
