The Living Heart of An Apostle: Weekly Message for 06-16-2020

Dear Fellow Digital Pilgrim, pax Christi:

The popularity of novenas is often due to the short formula of prayers that present our needs to God through the intercession of the saints or a devotion such as the Sacred Heart of Jesus. We lean on these spiritual friendships for much-needed accompaniment along the journey of living out our baptismal call to holiness and the apostolate. Such encouragement helps us to stay singularly focused on the central goal of our lives – union with God. 

For the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi, Mary Magdalene is one of these special friendships we look to for intercession and as a model of living the spiritual and apostolic dimensions of our charism and drawing closer to Our Lord. The life of Mary Magdalene gives witness to the spiritual treasures she received and the interior dynamic that took place in her soul from encountering Jesus to becoming an “Apostle to the Apostles”. 

What can we learn from her? This coming July 12 we will begin a Meditation Novena preparing for her feast day on July 22. We want to ponder and learn how the elements of Mary Magdalene’s spiritual journey are reflected in the living hearts of today’s apostles. 

And so I am very excited to share with you that RCSpirituality will be partnering with Magdala Institute, Magdala to present a unique Meditation Novena experience, “The Living Heart of an Apostle: A Meditation Novena to Walk, Pray, and Reflect with Mary Magdalene.” 

Join us by subscribing to a free daily email. Beginning on July 12 with an introduction to the novena and ending on the feast day of Mary Magdalene, July 22, with concluding remarks. Each day you will walk with Mary Magdalene to reflect on her interior spiritual dynamic and how it relates to your life.
