Known and Loved Forever: Weekly message for 04-09-2024

It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)

Dear Friends,

In his Introduction to Christianity, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger puts it well:

Christian faith lives on the discovery that not only is there such a thing as objective meaning, but that this meaning knows me and loves me, that I can entrust myself to it like that child who knows that everything he may be wondering about is safe in the ‘you’ of his mother.

This objective meaning has a face and a name, Jesus Christ, who died for me and rose from the dead for me and calls me to share his own life.

This is the overwhelming joy of Easter, a joy so profound that we can never fully comprehend it.

May we discover that tremendous truth anew in this Easter Season. May it fill our hearts with joy. And may it impel us to share this joy with others.

God bless you,
