Day 7 – Finding God in Unexpected Places

Searching:
What are you seeking?

Work of Art: The Lost Pleiad (Randolph Rogers, 1888)

The beauty of the human heart is that it is always seeking something more, something beautiful. But as part of our fallen human nature, we have a tendency to fill this poverty of our hearts with the things of this world: money, alcohol, sex, a bigger house, a nicer car, etc.

Where are my priorities right now? What am I seeking?

If we pause and gaze upon our Lord, we would discover that he has been seeking us all along. He’s just waiting for us to turn toward him.

This is why Christ came into our world, to search for us and lead us back to where we belong. In today’s Advent video, Fr. John Bartunek, LC offers a reflection on God’s loving pursuit for each one of us.
