The Pulsing Heart of God: Weekly message for 03-26-2024

Dear Friends,

Prayer, like relationships, has its ups and downs, its spells of fervor and days of desert, moments of ease and times when it feels impossible to hear or get through to God. No better time than the present to renew our desire and dedication to prayer through the daily liturgical celebrations.

The liturgy of the Church, rich in God’s Word and sacrificial presence in the Eucharist, offers us a banquet every day, but especially this time of the year. The Paschal Mystery is upon us.

It marks a culminating mystery in our history of salvation. The Church is proclaiming God’s unfathomable love revealed in the Son’s sacrifices on the cross and victorious resurrection. He triumphs over sin and death.

This is the Lord’s gift to us this season. Now it depends on us to be attentive, eager and grateful, in a spirit of awe and adoration.
