Living in the Spirit: Day 8
Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth. O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations, through Christ Our Lord, Amen.
“The Gift of the Spirit: Goodness” by Fr. Daniel Brandenburg, LC:
Fr. Daniel Brandenburg, LC is currently serving as Chaplain of Regnum Christi men and The Lumen Institute in Atlanta, GA. He is the author of Journey to Joy: Reflections on the 7 Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Take some time to ponder the mystery of God’s action through his Spirit in the events of your own life and ask for the light, strength, and love so sorely need in witnessing as a Christian in today’s world.
- Who is the Holy Spirit for me?
- How do I relate and experience his presence?
- How has the Holy Spirit impacted my life?
- What advice would I share to help someone grow in a relationship with the Holy Spirit after listening to this personal testimony?
Novena Prayer (Goodness)
Spirit of God, help me to set my eyes on the things of God and to always seek what is good. Grant me faith to seek the good of the intellect in seeking the Word of God, who is Truth. Grant me love to seek the good of the will by seeking union with yourself, who is the Bond of Love between the Father and Son. Grant me hope to aspire to the promises of our Good Father who invites me to live with Him forever in Heaven. Finally, Holy Spirit, by seeking all these things, grant me goodness of life, so as to reflect you to the world through my actions.
Amen

Thank you so much Father Daniel! This was so informative and you have such a wonderful presence. The Holy Spirit is so much clearer and seems more accessible the way
you have outlined its fruits and gifts. God Bless you and know you are being prayed for every day!!
