Day 18 – Finding God in Unexpected Places

Mary’s Virtue:
How are you using your gifts?

Work of Art: Hercules (Zoffoli, 1700s), Venus (unknown artist, 1700s), Samson and Delilah (Pompeo Girolamo Batoni, 1766)

As Christmas draws nearer, many of us are focused on buying gifts. In this spirit of gift-giving, today let’s focus on the natural gifts God has given us.

How are we sharing them with the world?

In today’s video, Fr. John Bartunek, LC shares how natural gifts of strength and beauty can fail to be used with humility and grace. We also reflect on these same virtues which our Blessed Mother demonstrates in her “yes” to God’s call.

As we watch the video, let’s ask for the grace to use the gifts we have received at the service of God’s people and the story of salvation, just as the Blessed Virgin Mary and Jesus did.
