Day 22 – Advent with the Saints

Friendship:
What Does True Friendship Look Like for a Christian?

It’s very likely that you have a friend who recently asked you, “What do you want for Christmas?” Of course, their intention is to buy you a gift you would enjoy.

But what is it that we most look for and need from our friendships? People we hang out with have a strong effect on us whether we like it or not. We have a responsibility to choose good company.  We want people around us who encourage us in the faith. We need people who give us a boost and reinforce us in our efforts along our Christian journey. We also want to be someone like that for others.

Let’s ask ourselves what type of friend do I want to be? Who really are true and lasting friends that I lean on to persevere in my faith? Maybe that is the gift I should be asking for this Christmas.

The busyness of the season can impede our focus on the Lord. There is still time. Listen to today’s “Advent with the Saints” audio reflection to stir up our longing to be closer to our Lord.

Today’s Saint – St. Ammon

Today’s Saint of the Day is St. Ammon.  Listen to Uncle Eddy as he invites us to use this saint’s example to inspire us to live our best life in Christ!
